'Things might get easier for first-time buyers'

First-time buyers could see some respite over the next few years, according to the editor of an online property website.
Tom Entwistle of landlordzone.co.uk which gives advice and information to UK landlords says that although the market is facing a "tough couple of years" things should start to look up for first-time buyers when prices settle.
He added that he believed "property prices are going to drop considerably" which could see first-time buyers able to get a foot on the property ladder.
Mr Entwistle also insisted that there would not be a "mad rush" of people wanting to rent property because they cannot afford to buy, as there is still "reasonable" demand for property.
This week the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors said that first-time buyers who have been squeezed out of buying could now try to access the housing market.
As prices start to stabilise, many young buyers who were previously priced out of the market are expected to take advantage.
