Commercial lenders 'continue to support brokers'

Commercial lenders in the UK are continuing to support mortgage brokers, according to a leading industry body.

The National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) has stated that recent trends in the residential market are not being followed in the commercial sector.

Adam Tyler, the organisation''s chief executive, said that while times are tough for brokers, lenders remain keen to work with them.

He explained that in some ways it has "never been a better time" to be a commercial specialist.

"Money is much harder to come by so business owners and managers need all the help they can get to secure those vital funds," he added.

The NACFB was established in 1992 to create high standards in the commercial broker industry.

In order to carry out its work, the organisation also works with the government, regulators and other bodies to "further the principles" of good practice in the sector.
